Policies for Assistance Dogs
At PAD we want to work with you to help you exceed, not just meet, your legal obligations to disabled people and their Assistance Dogs.
A growing number of disabled people rely on an Assistance Dog to enhance their life and provide them with independence and freedom.
With Scope figures showing the spending power of households with at least one disabled occupant being a staggering £274 billion a year, it makes little sense to exclude Assistance Dog handlers from your business.
Yet 90% of Assistance Dog handlers report they have had to leave a premises at least once because of their dog…
That’s where we can help!

Who are we
PAD is a disabled-owned business working together with businesses and service providers who’s ethics all align with one common goal; to improve access for disabled people and their Assistance Dogs in the UK.
As Assistance Dog handlers ourselves, we have lived experience of the issues we work to resolve, and can offer compassion, empathy and valuable insight in a way others may be unable to by offering expert independent advice as consultants specialised in Assistance Dog access rights.
We work with service providers to ensure they understand how to fulfil their Duty under the Equality Act 2010.
What we do
From writing a dedicated Assistance Dog policy, to accessibility audits and tailored disability consultancy, we are committed to providing services shaped by the requirements of our clients, so you can be sure you’ll receive the right advice for your business.
We want to help you create a welcoming environment for Assistance Dog handlers, unlocking access for a loyal and empowered customer base!
